THE REQUEST / THE REASONING

Less guesswork.
More to go on.

Start with a product, a requirement or a project. Give your agent a clear route to the evidence it needs.

Illustrative tool requests. These examples do not execute live queries.

01

Replace a product

source_get_alternatives

Ranked recommendations for a SaaS product, with evidence and replacement fit.

04

Explore the catalogue

Explore repository growth and community discussion, with measurement windows and coverage.

10

Read the signals

source_get_momentum

Inspect a project’s repository momentum and the community mentions behind the signal.

source_dataset_info

Read dataset version, freshness, counts and the status of the published snapshot.

ONE CONNECTION / MANY POSSIBILITIES

Plug into
The Source.

Use an MCP client that supports Streamable HTTP. Add the endpoint, discover the tools and start with a question.

Claude Code, compatible Claude and ChatGPT connectors, Cursor and MCP SDK clients can use the hosted endpoint. Setup and connector availability depend on your client.

03 / FIRST QUESTION

Find credible open-source alternatives to Notion. Compare their licences, project health and replacement fit. Cite the evidence dates and call out anything the data cannot assess.

THE ANSWER IS ONLY AS GOOD AS ITS EVIDENCE

Know what you know.
Say what you don’t.

01

Keep the tiers distinct.

Recommended, scored and discovery are different states. A discovered project is not automatically a recommendation.

02

Bring the dates with you.

Check dataset freshness and signal status. Missing or stale measurements should remain visible in the answer.

03

Separate the measures.

Project Health, Replacement Fit, Repository Momentum and Community Momentum answer different questions. Don’t collapse them into one verdict.

04

Carry the limitations.

Report requirements marked not_evaluated. Cite the supporting sources and distinguish open-source from source-available licences.
